The New Trim Names – Heat, Detonator and Shock for 2010 Dodge Nitro Gets Ridiculous

Move has added three new trim levels to its bold Nitro lineup. The 2010 Nitro contributions will present models called Heat, Detonator and Shock to consumers.

The cars will come with a 23 percent more influential 4.0-litre V6 engine which now packs 194kW (260hp) and 359Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. Torque is also up 12 percent on the prior entry-level car. A 5-speed automatic is included in the package. regular Heat items include 20-inch Mopar aluminium wheels, a body-colour front grille with bright billets, colored glass, an eight-speaker sound system, speed control and SIRIUS Satellite Radio among others. All these are also regular in the other two vehicles.

The Detonator comes with a cover sticky label, rear park assist, remote start and premium cloth interior that matches the exterior paint colour. The Shock model is standard with all these Detonator features plus heated leather seats and a sunroof.

Prices for the Dodge Nitro Heat start at US$23,995 (including $745 destination) while the Detonator and Shock go for US$25,995 and US$26,995 respectively.
